China Mobile will Launch NSA Mass Deployment in 2019

Vice Chairman Li Zhengmao of China Mobile said, NSA-based 5G commercial deployment has been initiated by some operators, yet scale tests conducted by China Mobile reveal that NSA mass deployment is up against problems like high power consumption of base station, immature hardware platform etc. To gear up for 5G commercial deployment, China Mobile intends to cooperate with industry to make NSA end-to-end products equipped for large scale commercial use and plans to launch multi-city deployment in China within the year.

In 2019, China Mobile will promote 5G field scale tests of 2.6GHz and 4.9GHz to speed its commercial use.
